Fireworks early in Pittsburgh

Posted by ESPN.com's James Walker PITTSBURGH -- It's been an exciting first quarter already at Heinz Field. The San Diego Chargers struck first with a 41-yard touchdown catch by receiver Vincent Jackson to go up 7-0 on the opening drive. The score was eventually followed by a 67-yard punt return for a touchdown by Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes to tie the game. Pittsburgh's special teams has been average at best this season. Inconsistent is probably a more accurate description. But the bye week was obviously put to good use to shore up some weaknesses as Pittsburgh had arguably its best return of the year. Bye week teams are off to an awful start -- going 0-3 so far -- so the Steelers need to be very wary of that trend. Pittsburgh is trying to become the only No. 1 or No. 2 seed left in the playoffs this year. The winner of this game owns home-field advantage in next week's AFC championship.
